Tyler decorated her first room when she was 8 years old in her home on Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport, ME. The pink floral Laura Ashley print carried from the walls to the bedspread to the upholstered bergere.
Tyler’s attention to aesthetics took her from the floral bedroom to design school in New York fifteen years later. After majoring in literature at The George Washington University, Tyler studied interior design and architecture at the New York School of Interior Design. Her years in Manhattan infused her design education, formally and informally.
In 2008, she moved back to her home state of Maine and settled in Portland, where she began flipping distressed homes with her high school friend Matt DiBiase and his wife Lisa. She has also gained recognition as a commercial and residential design talent. Tyler has built a career in renovation and decoration and has a refined eye to design a neglected home or a space not yet quite sure of itself.
